Our client is a 250 bed specialist in Kuwait and seeking to recruit a

Chief Operating Officer

reporting to the Chief Executive Officer

Responsibilities

Provision of leadership, planning, directing and controlling the daily operations.
Setting and monitoring performance based on target operations measures
Ensuring that performance is in accordance with short and long-term goals and as agreed upon with the Ministry of Health
Provision of oversight for the implementation and evaluation of the Hospital’s improvement plan.
Recruitment and retention of qualified healthcare executives and managers.
Development and maintenance of effective working relationships with members of the Hospital’s executive team and other staff.
Supervision of management the following departments: admitting, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, facilities, environmental services/housekeeping, food and dietary, laundry, security, mail, marketing, public relations, pastoral care, morgue, and receiving dock/department.

Candidates must hold a MBA or equivalent and a minimum of ten years experience in a similar position with documents experience in operating a hospital for at least six years. Previous experience in the Middle East preferred but not required.
