Our client is a 200 bed specialist hospital in Kuwait and the hospital has a vacancy for a

Chief Medical Officer

o Provision of overall medical leadership, direction, planning and management of all medical departments.

o Assuring that medical staff meets established standards of competency, quality and behavior as well as adherence to established Hospital medical bylaws/rules and regulations.

o Monitoring of performance and ensuring compliance with international quality and patient safety, regulatory and accreditation standards.

o Management of the physician (and as applicable, nurses and other allied health professionals) privileging and credentialing process.

o Recruitment and retention of qualified physicians.

o Development and maintenance of effective working relationships with members of the Hospital’s executive team and other staff.

o Supervision of the following departments: medical including department chairs, quality and patient safety, medical affairs, risk management, regulatory and accreditation.

§ Qualifications

o MD/DDS degree

o Medical staff management experience

o Knowledge in: physician employment models, quality management, patient safety, regulatory and accreditation standards.
