Lancaster Community Hospital, in Lancaster, CA is assisting in the recruitment of a new Urologist to the community of Lancaster, CA. The practice is a well established, very busy private practice specializing in adult male and female urology. This is a great opportunity with excellent growth potential.

A generous compensation and benefits package will be offered. No ED call. The practice offers a collegial practice environment that values quality of life issues for physicians and their families.

Lancaster Community Hospital is a 117-bed acute care facility serving a community of approximately 120,000 and a service area of 400,000. Universal Health Services, Inc. which owns the facility and has committed to building a new physical plant, expecting to break ground by the end of this year. The facility has 4 OR suites and does open-heart surgeries. The ER has 16-18,000 annual visits, 50% of admissions are from ER. The payer mix for the facility is 60% managed care, 35% Medicare. The hospital does not provide pediatric or OB services.

Lancaster is home to a lot of aerospace industry; Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrup. When the shuttle is unable to land in Florida it is diverted to Lancaster. The community of Lancaster is located 60 miles east of LA in the high desert known as Antelope Valley. The neighboring community of Palmdale boasts a high-speed train that can take you right into Los Angeles where a shuttle service can take you to many parts of town
